Work Safety

Partnering with factories that put structural, fire and electrical safety first.

Safe handling and loading of finished garments at a Zareen International partner facility

Following the reforms that reshaped Bangladesh's garment industry, building and workplace safety is a non-negotiable part of responsible sourcing. Zareen International favours factories that have passed structural, fire and electrical safety remediation and maintain safe, well-managed production environments for their workers.

Building & fire safety

We prioritise factories assessed under the RMG Sustainability Council (RSC) / Accord framework for structural integrity, fire protection and electrical safety — including marked exits, fire doors, alarms and tested equipment.

Safe working environment

Proper ventilation, lighting, machine guarding, protective equipment and orderly floor management reduce risk and support quality. We look for factories that treat housekeeping and safety as part of daily operations, not an inspection-day exercise.

Preparedness & training

Regular fire drills, accessible first aid, trained safety committees and clearly communicated emergency procedures are signs of a well-run factory — and ones we actively seek in our manufacturing network.

Our commitments

  • Favour RSC/Accord-remediated, safety-assessed factories
  • Verified fire exits, alarms and electrical safety
  • Ongoing safety training and emergency preparedness
  • Safe, well-managed production floors
